A big part of our initiatives here at Ilaria Salon and Spa is to help women feel better about themselves and to show them the beauty that is inside and outside.  This especially include women who have experienced volatile sexual assault.  The National Sexual Resource Center reports that 1 in 5 women in the United States have been raped at some time in their lives, including completed forced penetration, attempted forced penetration, or alcohol/drug facilitated completed penetration.

In many cases, these women will carry the experience deep down within their conscience, not even realizing how it impacting their day to day lives and their overall perspective of how they feel about themselves.  Everything from heir beauty, skin, body image, overall worthiness in relationships, their career and in their family can be so negatively impacted.  We want to help with encouraging them to seek the support and strength through specialized groups, as well as address their concerns with their outward appearance to help the beauty and confidence shine through!

Ilaria Salon and Spa will explore opportunities with I Am That Human/ProtectHer to identify ways in which we can assist in the ongoing efforts to change the pattern of women being vulnerable to sexual assault as well as potentially developing programs for younger Middle School aged girls and boys in addition to their program for College Athletes.
